Kyla Carter

Kyla Carter’s life was on the line.  Traveling on business, Kyla was accosted in his motel room after his assailant gained entry with a master key.

During this trying experience, 33-year-old, Carter, experienced repeated death threats; his throat was slit; he was robbed; and threats were made against his family.  Miraculously, Carter survived through this trauma, only to have the national motel chain management waive off his personal injuries and mental anguish.

“My career has been in sales and it’s my business to evaluate people based on an initial impression,” said Carter. “From the onset, I put my trust in Lou Accurso. His approach to people is warm and friendly; he took a personal interest in our well-being.”

“As an attorney, Accurso was polite, but firm with the defendant’s representatives.  When we sat down at the table, there was no question that they should take us seriously.  Accurso prepares every case as though it will be tried, and it was clear to them that we would stop at nothing to pursue justice. I was impressed by his confidence and competency in dealing with the other side.”

“We settled the case for nearly seven figures, out of court, two weeks prior to the trial.  The outcome far exceeded my expectations.  I was impressed by Accurso’s confidence and competency.  I am grateful to The Accurso Law Firm for it all.”

John Gibson

John Gibson sat at the table in his 28-foot motor home and tried to light a cigarette.  Instantly, the entire cabin burst into flames.  Propane gas had leaked onto the motor home’s floor and ignited.

Gibson was not aware of the gas because it had lost the scented marking the manufacturer puts into it, sending a danger alert.  The inferno left Gibson with second and third degree burns over nearly half his body.  Severely disabled, he filed suit against the international fuel conglomerate, teaming his personal attorney with Lou Accurso.

“Accurso is the kind of guy who goes to the mat for you,” said Gibson.  “His firm’s depth of knowledge in so many areas made a very difficult job much easier.  When you’re in a situation like this, it takes its toll – on you, on your family, on your life.”

“From my experience, nobody intimidates Accurso.  His experience gives him the ability to act and speak on many different levels – like a clergyman, a businessman or a barroom brawler, depending on the challenge.”

“There are two attorneys in the world I trust.  One has been a friend since childhood, and the second is Lou Accurso.”

Malcolm & Doris Wilson

Like many parents, Malcolm and Doris Wilson were trying to help their 21-year-old son, Eric, by carrying him on their auto insurance policy.  Then Eric had a terribly debilitating accident.  What was most shocking to the Wilson’s was their insurance company’s unequivocal refusal to cover Eric’s escalating medical bills and personal damages.  Frustrated over their initial attorney’s efforts, the Wilson’s turned to The Accurso Law Firm.

“Lou Accurso was very attentive to us,” said Malcolm.  “He started by outlining everything he would do and all that would happen as we proceeded.  He was personable and interested in us as individuals, beyond the scope of our case, and our relationship with him was absolutely wonderful.  Those are words you don’t often hear about your average attorney.”

“When we went to the opposing attorney’s office for depositions, Accurso pulled three portable files from his trunk.  The other attorney made some disparaging remarks.  He could say what he wanted, but at that precise moment, you better believe I was proud that The Accurso Law Firm had done its homework and was prepared for anything.  It was the kind of attention most people in our position could only hope for.”

“Since our case was settled, we’ve stayed in touch with Accurso, and I’ve felt like I could call him anytime.  If I ever needed any attorney again for anything, I wouldn’t hesitate to call him for advice.  If I ever needed someone with his expertise, I wouldn’t consider anyone else.”

Michael McGinnis

Five minutes after walking out the door of his business one early spring evening, Michael McGinnis watched, stunned, as his grocery store burst into flames and burned nearly to the ground.  The store and its contents were a total loss.  Worse yet, McGinnis’ insurance company believed that McGinnis or his agents had intentionally set the blaze and refused to cover the damage.

McGinnis called The Accurso Law Firm.  “Lou Accurso is known for his tough stance on arsonists from his days in the prosecutor’s office.  He meticulously reviewed the facts, took the case and relentlessly pursued it.”

“Accurso is a debating attorney.  He’s not a laid-back type; he’s up there working for you, pursuing every angle, every subtlety. We must have done 50 depositions, and Accurso was there for every one.”

“The preparation was astounding.  Accurso spent thousands of dollars of his own money for tests, experts, and scale models to demonstrate what really happened.”

“Two days before the trial, we settled for more than three times my original claim."
